臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

研究者在國小任教，以一、二年級學生為對象進行英語教學已超過四年的時間，這次參與本研究的七位受訪者皆是研究者的學生之家長。本研究旨在了解孩子英語學習的狀況，並以家長的參與及認知態度為觀察點，探討其對孩子學習英語的影響。根據訪談結果可得出三個結論，視英語為學科工具的家長，其對英語學習的目的通常較短淺且即時。家長對英語學習的期望存在兩種類型的落差，一是真實語言情境和教室語言情境的落差，二是國小英語教學和補習班英語教學之間的落差。此外，家長參與程度、家庭人力資本和經濟資本都會對孩子的英語學習產生影響。

The current researcher has been teaching first and second grade English for over four years at an elementary school. Seven participants invited in the interview are parents of the researcher’s students. The study was geared to understand children’s English learning situations from the perspective of parental involvement, guided by their perceptions and attitudes toward English language teaching in Taiwan.
Based on the data, three conclusions can be made. First, when parents see English as a utility, they would inevitably tag English with rather short-term purposes. Second, the expectation gap parents have for children’s English learning can be divided into authenticity gap and institution gap. The former exists between real use situations and classroom situations. The latter refers to programs in elementary schools and cram schools.In addition, parental involvement could be an essential key to the success of children’s English learning, in terms of how human capital and physical capital can be exercised.
