A comfortable living environment is something everyone pursues, and air-conditioning is one of the indispensable equipments for improving a home or office environment. However, due to the warm and humid climate in Taiwan, it is prone to dust mites, molds and all kinds of bacteria. In addition, economic and social development furthers multiple sources of outdoor pollution such as vehicles oil pollutants, PM and other airborne particulate matter, etc., which invade people’s living space. As a result, while providing a comfortable living environment, air-conditioning equipments also absorb substances which are harmful to the human body and constantly circulate though the air, becoming a breeding ground for health invisible killers.
Therefore, this paper uses as its research topic the case-study of a company’s introducing professional air-conditioning equipment cleaning technology in order to optimize the “air-conditioning cleaning” process on the current market. It verifies that differences observed before and after adjusting the cleaning service process for air-conditioning related equipment compares with quantifiable and non-quantified quality differences of air-conditioning cleanliness.
In addition, the following four suggestions have been put forward regarding current problems in the cleanliness industry to further enhance the continuous development of the industry:
First, the implementation of cleaning operation process standardization;
Second, professional equipment use and professional licensing;
Third, establishing a quality standard that can be quantified;
Fourth, sustainable management and customer relationship management.
