本研究藉由臺灣經濟新報TEJ與WEBPAT全球專利資訊庫兩大資料庫,針對臺灣半導體產業研發費用變化與專利數變化進行成長趨勢關聯之研究,本研究將以2010-2018年資料探討,並針對半導體產業上、中、下游,檢視成長趨勢的調解效果,研究實證結果顯示:
一、 上市半導體公司,研發費用變化的成長與專利數變化的成長呈現顯著的正關聯。
二、 次產業類別對於研發費用變化的成長與專利數變化的成長有顯著的調節效果。
三、 研發費用變化的成長與專利數變化的成長在不同次產業類別有正關聯/負關聯之結果。
四、 研發費用變化的成長與專利數變化成長的關聯,在當期與遞延三期的趨勢相同。
This study uses the two major databases of Taiwan Economic Journal (TEJ) database and WEBPAT to study the growth trend of Taiwan's semiconductor industry R&D expenses changes and patents granted to resident changes. This study will be based on data for the past nine years (2010-2018). Explore and examine the moderating effects of growth trends in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the semiconductor industry.
The empirical results of the study show that: first, listed semiconductor companies, the growth of R&D expenses changes and the growth of patent rights changes have a significant positive correlation. Second, the sub-industry category has a significant adjustment effect on the change of R&D expenses and the change of patent rights. Third, the growth of changes in R&D expenses and the growth of changes in patent rights have positive/negative correlations in different sub-sector categories. Fourth, the relationship between the growth of changes in R&D expenses and the growth of changes in patent rights are same as trend of deferred three in the current period.
