The purpose of this study is aim to analyze four pieces of Wang Chien Ming’s arhu rhapsodies and especially research more on time signature and rhythm pattern. We understand about the vitality of music work; therefore, the significant effects are based on whether rhythm and time signature’s work well or not. Wang wants to be different and various than predecessors when he create these four pieces of arhu rhapsody. In other words, if you do things which were already done by others, eventually turns out meaninglessness. Moreover, Wang put lots of efforts on designing time signature and how to apply it into the various rhythm patterns. Therefore, the first of tune is full of variety on Wang’s creation, because of his creation; he made a huge innovation on every masterpiece afterwards. The most important things are Wang not only made a big difference on his work, but also lead other composers, concert performers, and appreciators to the excellence. This study not only research on these four rhapsodies, but also simply analyzed the structure of song and introduction of works. Furthermore; in this article, Wang emphasized discussing how to apply the variety of time signature, the difference between time signature and paragraph, the usage of rhythm of Sanban, the advantages of upbeat on rhythm patterns, the effects of stress movement, and the application of various rhythm patterns’ integration and analysis. The researcher hopes that readers can have comprehensive understanding and reorganization on Wang’s creation of these four rhapsodies by reading this study.
