本文之重點在於探討、採用電腦圖形設計中文美工字的可行性，俾使我國文字的優美造形與特殊風格之書法能予以電腦化，因而提出一種中文字體之圖形處理系統。中文字體之圖形處理系統，其輸入端是定義筆劃之點數據以及從定義筆劃結構之語法分析得到之參數;輸出端則是中文美工字體。圖形處理系統的主要機能是根據中文字語法結構來組合相關筆劃的顯像窗，然後顯像或傳送至字體輸出處理系統去產生各種不同需求的輸出型態。

In this thesis, we explore the possibility of producing the aesthetics of the Chinese characters by means of the techniques used in the interactive computer graphics. A computer graphics handling system is thus proposed to produce the Chinese characters with elegance and flavor of the Chinese calligraphy. The graphics handling system receives the basic strokes data of a particular Chinese character font as well as the parameters generated from parsing the syntatic structure that describes the relationship of basic strokes, and combines them into a Chinese character. Its mechanism Is to combine windows for each related strokes together dccording to the topological structure of the Chinese character, to put the strokes into the windows, and either to display out or send to the font output handling system producing various kinds of fonts as demanded.
