本研究是利用連續式CSTR操作程序,配合乳化液膜分離技術,來探討苯丙胺
酸分離及濃縮應用之可行性。研究方法採實驗探討與理論分析同時進行,
並將結果互相比較驗證。在萃取理論方面,我們提出了質傳數學理論,利用
中空球型乳化液滴模式,配合萃取化學之平衡反應,及CSTR操作之質量平
衡,並考慮乳化液之滲透現象、夾帶現象及洩漏現象...等因素,建立苯丙
胺酸在CSTR系統中之萃取方程式。在萃取實驗方面,我們探討不同的操作
條件對分離效率及濃縮比的影響。實驗結果顯示,隨著乳化液用量的增加
和內相氫離子濃度的增加,萃取效率顯著增加,但濃縮比值卻有先增後減的
趨勢。造成濃縮比降低的原因,在於膨潤現象的發生。膨潤現象發生的原
因有二,一是由於滲透壓引起之滲透現象,二是由於攪拌作用造成的夾帶現
象。因此,針對膨潤現象對乳液之穩定性及苯丙胺酸之分離及濃縮效率之
影響,我們提出了數學理論模式,定量說明滲透現象之機構原理,同時設計
了夾帶實驗與膨潤實驗,探討不同的操作條件對夾帶現象與膨潤現象之影
響。在膨潤實驗過程中,當內相鹽酸濃度大於 1 N 以上時,膨潤現象主要
受滲透現象影響,但若濃度小於0.8 N 時,則膨潤現象受夾帶現象之影響顯
著增加,與滲透現象同樣重要,不容忽視。另外,由膨潤實驗中也發現,載劑
D2EHPA含量的多少,嚴重影響膨潤現象的大小;但載劑M2EHPA的含量則對膨
潤現象之影響,較不顯著。可見,這兩種載劑中,M2EHPA的穩定性比D2EHPA
較好。

The extraction and concentration of phenylalanine by the
continuous CSTR Emulsion Liquid Membrane (ELM) separation
process has been thoroughly studied in this research.A mass
transfer model for analysing the extraction of phenylalanine by
liquid surfactant membrane is also presented .The model assumes
that the extraction and stripping reactions are reversible and
the reaction equilibrium to exist in both the internaland the
external interfaces . The scheme for mass transfer is based on
a hollow sphere model. The phenomena of osmotic swelling and
mechanical leakage were also considered in the mathematical
treatment. In this research ,we studied the influence of
operation conditions on the separation and concentration
efficiencies of phenylalanine .From the experimental results ,
it is found that the extraction rate of phenylalanine in
creased as the amount of emulsion used and the concentration of
H. However,the concentration ratio of phenylalanine increased
as the emulsion concentration and acid strength only up to a
certain limit and then declined with further increasing the
amount of emulsionand the concentration of H+. The reduction of
the concentration ratio of phenylalanineis due to the swelling
of emulsion drop . Two effects being responsible for the
swelling of emulsion drops have been evaluated. 1.swelling
owing to osmotic pressure .2.swelling caused by the entrainment
of water due to mechanical agitation .Thephenomena of swelling
was discussed systematically to study the effecton the
stability of emulsion and the efficiency of phenylalanine
extraction . An osmotic swelling mathematical model was also
proposed to describe quantitatively the osmotic phenomena .A
specially designed of entrainment and swelling experiment was
conducted to clarify the swell- ing phenomena .The effect of
operation conditions on the mechanical water entrainment and
osmotic swelling in the (W/O)/W emulsion system was discussed.
