This analysis applys Multiobjective Decision-Making (MODM) model on land resources allocation problems nearby a reservoir region and search compromise strategies for trading off among conflicting objec- tives that cannot be solved by single objective programming techniques. Two major categories con- sidered in the objective functions are economic de- velopment and water quality of which economic devel- opment is characterized by the working opportunities and the income from various land development and water quality by TP,TN,BOD production and sediment yield. In this study, Tweng-Wen Reservoir watershed was selected as a case study in which six objectives and ten constraints are included accordingly. By using the "minimum distance from the ideal solution" and the " multiobjective simplex method", the MODM can determine the best compromise solution and non- inferior solution set regarding to watershed land development allocation, respectively. In addition, the situation of piont and nonpoint source pollution control by different level of treatment can also be examined.
