Elected three locatss at west and south in Taiwan. For studing
adaptability of dominate plant in exposed aera. Items studied
include revegetation investigated. Seed germination. Soil
phsical and chemical properties. Investigated roots of dominate
plants, Results obtained are summarized as follows: 1.The
pioneer plants of three locals are investigated. The main of
dominate plants are Leucaena glauce, Mis-- canthus floridulus,
Lantana camara L., Saccharum spon- taneum L., Acacia confusa
Merr. 2.Cause of provenance, Vigor of parent trees and age of
mother trees, The germination rates of seed are not good. But
througth seed stimulation and scarification treatment, The
germination Rates of Saccharum sponta- neum Linn and Leucaena
glauca are better than others. 3.The analysis of soil phsical
results obtained, The local① is silty clay, The local②is
loam, The local③ is sandy clay. 4.Leucaena glauca belongs deep-
root and big-root-type in local①③,The development of roots
are fined well. The Saccharum Spontaneum Linn. and Miscanthus
flor-- idulus belongs hair-root and shallow-root-type. The soil
properities analyses not good, and can't ease absorb nutriment
and water, The same reason, growth of Lantana camara L. is
limited in local①②.
