以豬腦, 水煮蛋蛋黃及雞肝培養蟲生線蟲, IJs 於33天之總產量皆為1
×10 5 IJs/g 以上。以豬肝粉為基質,加奶粉產量為1×10 6 IJs/g 與再
添加奶粉及蔗糖總產量無顯著差異。於花豆粉中加入玉米油之培養基培養
蟲生線蟲,接入之IJs 可生長至成蟲並產生子代,但未能生長至IJ時期便
死亡。再添加peptone, vitamin B, 膽固醇, methionine, 蔗糖及
Wesson''s salt mixture 於30天可產生2.3×10 4 IJs/g。各配方中以再
添加vitamin B, 膽固醇, methionine及Wesson''s salt mixture 於30天
之產量最高, 為2.0×10 5 IJs/g。對斜紋夜盜之三齡幼蟲致病力最佳(
LC50=3.78 IJs/ml),一齡幼蟲最差(LC50=13.09ml);LT50以第三齡幼蟲
於50 IJs/ml)濃度下需時最短 (29.9小時)。於土壤中接入10 IJs/larvae
,可造成六齡幼蟲90%死亡率。接入25、50、75、100 和150IJs,對蛹期
之致病力為5-10%,各濃度之死亡率無顯著差異。對小菜蛾四齡幼蟲之致
病力最好(LC50=4.07 IJs/mlo),一齡幼蟲最差LC50=8.96 IJs/ml);同一
濃度下,LT50隨齡期增加而縮短。竣漱弇r露蛹之LC50分別為20.15
及20.41 IJs/ml, LC90為149.25及74.69 IJs/ml。將線蟲配製成水懸劑
、膏劑及澱粉劑,對線蟲之保護作用以膏劑最佳。夜間施膏劑於甘藍菜
後7小時可維持50%以上之存活率及致病力。水懸劑最差施用3小時後存活
率為25%以下,致病力為40% 以下。澱粉劑於施用6小時存活率及致病力均
為40%以下。
Steinernema carpocapsae All strain was cultivatedia,
supplemented with various combination of pig brain,
cooked egg yolk and chicken liver. The total yield obtained
cultured from each media was more than 1×10 5 IJs/g 33 day
after inoculation. For the pig liver powder-based media
plusmilk powder, the gross harvest peak condition is ca.
1.6×10 5 IJs/g. On kidney bean powder plus corn oil-
based media addition of peptone, vitamin B,
cholesterol, methionine,son''s salt mixture to the
above media, thes 2.3×10 4 IJs/g on
30 days after inoculation.edia plus vitamin

gross harvest was best beingJs/g. Pathogenicity of the
nematode to larvae of Spodoptera litura was best at 3rd
instar (LC50=3.78 IJs/ ml ) and inferior at 1st instar
(LC50=13.09 IJs/ml). Exposure of 3rd instar larvae to the
nematode suspension at a concentr- ation of had the lowest
LT50 value, i.e., 29.9 hr.lity was only 5-10% . Pathogenicity
of S.carpocapsae to the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella
was best at 4th instar larvae (LC50= 4.07 IJs/ ml), but was
lowest at 1st instar larvae (LC50= 8.96 IJs/ ml). LT50 was
shortened as the larvae stage increasing. LC50 of the pupae
with or without cocoon, when treated with this nematodewas
20.15 and 20.41 IJs/ ml. The nematode in paste formulate
was best for protecting its survival compared to the starch
formulation or in suspension. When applied to cabbages
leaf at night, the nematodes in paste formulate could
remain viable and attack the diamondback moth and reach
a mortality of 50% 7 hr post-treatment. Nematode had only 25
% survival, resulting in 40% diamondback larval mortality 6
hr post-treatment when applied in suspension.
