''The purpose of this study had focused on communication technology literacy education for junior high school " Living Technology" course. In order to provide a clear and better picture for educational administrator and professional educators, this study investigated journals, books, magazines, and other litertures. In quest of help from technology experts and scholars, this study organized questions and developed a questionnaire its contents mainly centered on "technology literacy" and "communication technology literacy." The categorized four major sub-system. which included thirty eight questions related to contents of " communication technology literacy". Through the investigation of this questionnaire, following a statistical analysis and came up with three major conclusions. 1.The content of communication technology literacy induced by this study included the contents of the hierarchy in knowledge (input) and techniques (process) and consequence ( output ) about four major sub-systems. The four major sub-systems include " graphic cognition and drafting" and " graphic communication" and "information and communication" and "electronic communication". 2.Most of the answers tended to indicate that the literacy competencies for "Information and computer literacy" was the strongest. And the next were "graphic cognition and communication." Over all questions pin point to the emphasis on the importance of "technology concepts." These key contents include the categories of all sub-systems and the importance of its occupational development trends. 3.The contents about communication technology literacy education in Junior High School should be: The knowledge hierarchy emphasis on basic communication concepts. The techniques hierarchy emphasis on the applied skills for the ordinary living. The consequence hierarchy emphasize on explanation of the social, cultural, political and economic impacts and future development. Finally, this study provided findings and conclusions. The suggestion placed on: "instructional material for information and communication technology"; "teacher training for technology education"; "inservice training for junior high school technology teachers"; "facilities supply for technology classes"; and "suggestions for further studies."
