The purpose of this study is base on Mastery-Learning Theory to develop one set of Computer-assisted learning software in mathematics for elementary school, furthermore to discuss the the efficacy after teaching and to analyse the difficulities of students in process of learning. An experiment with pretest -post test nonequivalent-control-group design is conducted. The subjects are 80 fifth grade students in two classes drawn from one elementary school. The teaching 4 units of this experiment are factor, multiple, fraction and plus or minus in fraction in Mathematics book 9 of elementary school. Based on the results of statistic analysis from experiments, the important discover -ies are followed as below: 1. It is an efficient model that CAL softwares are to be mate- rial in assisted-teaching, based on Mastery-Learning Theory in mathematics for elementary school.Producting tool and combi -nating multi-media will be improved and used. 2. The models in Computer-Assisted Mastery Learning promote significantly the mastery-member in teaching units, the effica -cy will be more successively. 3. The models in Computer-Assisted Mastery-Learning promote significantly the achievements of students. It is worthy of applying widely. 4. The models in Computer-Assisted Mastery Learning help teach -ers to understand students'''' difficulties in learning process , and to modify the contents of material in each unit. 5. The models in Computer-Assisted Mastery Learning supply enough learning-opportunities and help to realize the ideal of adaptive education. It is worthy of development. 6. The majority of students appear high learning positive at- titude in Computer-Assisted Mastery Learning models.
