MPEG1 是第一個國際寬頻音訊壓縮標準,本論文將以與 MPEG1相容性的考 量下來探討 MPEG1 編碼器第一層與第二層的設計空間。經分析 MPEG1 的 聲響心理模型與立體聲的處理方式有改進空間。在聲響心理模型方面,本 論文提出新的聲響心理模型來改進原模型的效能與計算複雜度。在立體聲 處理方面,本論文對原處理方式的效能提出方法來加以改良。實驗顯示在 新的聲響心理模型當單聲道 bit-rate 輸出為 96k 下可達到與 MPEG1 相 同之聽覺效果。在立體聲處理方面雙聲道輸出 bit-rate 192 k 時在聽覺 上有較佳的效果。 MPEG1 Audio is the first audio international compression standard. This thesis conside the design space of MPEG1 audio encoder from two aspects: psychoacoustic model and the stereo processing. On the psychoacoustic model, we develop a new psychoacoustic model to improve the performance and computational complexity. On the stereo sound porcessing method, we improve the performance of original methods. The conducted experiment results show that the new psychoacoustic model can achieve the same hearing quality with MPEG1 at bit- rate 96k monophonic and the new stereo processing method can have a better hearing quality than MPEG1 at bit-rate 192k stereophonic.
