在競爭激烈的商業環境下,高階主管資訊系統(EIS)在組織中已經扮演 一個重要的支援角色。EIS 能迅速地提供高階主管所需的資訊,幫助他們 隨時掌握企業的經營狀況及經營環境的波動,以採取有效的管理策略及做 出較好的決策。然而,對 EIS 的發展而言,目前的研究仍缺乏一套完整 的發展方法論(development methodology);從文獻及發展經驗上顯示 ,EIS 的發展普遍存在著以下三項主要的困難: 1. 如何分析高階主管 的『資訊』需求。 2. 如何與組織『活動』及資訊系統相連接。 3. 如 何快速地順應環境與主管需求的『改變』。 EIS 需要一個有組織性的( well-organized)且彈性化 flexible)的發展方法,來解決這些發展上 的問題。本論文即提出一個 EIS 發展之主管資訊需求分析方法 - 關鍵成 功物件法 CSO),以面談加上本文分析(text analysis)的方式獲取高 階主管的資訊需求,並藉由物件導向 EIS Model 的建立,將主管資訊需 求具體化,以作為進一步系統設計的準則。最後以一石材業公司為例,說 明 CSO 方法的應用,以驗證本方法之可行性。
Upon such a competitive and changeable environment, executive information systems (EIS) have played an important role as computer-based information systems in organizations. EIS provide executives with the information they need easily and accurately. Executives are able to achieve better decision making, more rapid adaptation to market fluctuations, more effective internal management by enhancing the use of timely information. However, no development standards have been accepted as development methodology for EIS untill today; It is revealed that there are three main difficulitys for EIS development in literature and experience: (1) How to analyze executives' information requirements. (2) How to link with executive's activity. and (3) How to efficiently adapt to the changes in a competitive environment or with changeable requirements. A well-organized and flexible development methodology is necessary for EIS development. In this paper, we propose an analysis method of executive information requirement - Critical Success Objects (CSO) method. CSO method integrated text analysis and object-oriented method to acquire the executives' information needs and realize these needs, so as to develop the prototype efficiently. Finally, A prototype EIS system of an stonework company is provided to illustrate how to apply the CSO method and validate the fesibilities of this research.
