The dynamic responses of pavement systems subjected to moving loads are affected by properties of the pavement,properties of the soil,and types of the loading.The main purpose of this research is to investigate the behavior of pavement systems subjected to moving loads.Effect of multiple loadings, velocities of loadings,frequencies of the pavement,dynamic properties of the pavement and the soil, and the temperature of the pavement are all studied.The dynamic behavior of a real pavement system is also investigated and compared to these obtained by analytical studies. Results of this study shows that the dynamic responses of the pavement systems are strongly affected by shear moduli,Poisson's ratios,thicknesses, and the frequency contents of the pavement. It is also suggested that velocities of loadings and the effects of moving loads be considered in the pavement designs.
