The shoe last measurement is an important work to assure the quality of design and manufacturing. Traditionally , the measurement is done byexperienced technician . In this paper , a new measurement method isproposed using hight technological equipment . A high speed and highprecision 3D scanner is used to obtain the shoe last data . The associatedfeature values of the shoe last can then be derived by a set of algorithms . The extracted shoe last feature values and shoe last model are shown on themonitor by using computer graphics techniques . This will be convenient forcomparison and reference . The proposed 3D shoe last construction and feature measurement system has been implement on PC/486 in C language . Experimental results show that the proposed system is very feasible and effective .
