本研究特針對電梯業產業環境、結構、競爭行為與策略等方面,進行實地
深入訪談及問卷調查,並經詳加分析後發現:1.產業環境─台灣電梯工業
之榮枯,對政治、經濟、政策與法律等總體環境具有高度倚賴性。2.產業
結構─台灣電梯產業是壟斷性市場,最近十年成長快速,尤其中低速電梯
產品與技術已臻世界一流水準,但部份關鍵零組件與高速電梯仍需自國外
進口。再者,目前市場已趨飽和,且由於是高度內需型產業,故市場競爭
空前激烈,另外,雖然產業進入障礙不高,但因具品牌忠誠度特性,故中
小型業者欲突破成長十分困難。3.產業競爭行為─處於市場需求日趨下滑
情景,大部份業者仍以價格競爭為主,至於非價格競爭、減少競爭與不公
平競爭等之行為,均是電梯業者曾運用或現在仍在使用之手段。4.產業競
爭策略─大型電梯業者偏重成本領導、差異化乃部份策略自由度等策略,
而小型電梯廠商則以集中化策略為主。最後,建議台灣電梯業者除需重視
產品安全與品質、市場開發、研究發展及顧客滿意外,更應發展較具彈性
與創造性的企業策略,以降低單一產業單一顧客群的高經營風險,而政府
方面則應落實電梯安全檢查制度與積極輔導電梯業者之責任。
The research reached following conclusions:1.Industry
Environment-The prosperity of the elevator industry on Taiwan
is highly dependent on the various aspects of politics,
economics, policy, and laws of the macro environment.
2.Industry Structure- The elevarot industry is a monopolistic
market. The industry has been growing fast in the last ten
years, especially in the medium and low speed elevator segment
in which the technical level has reached international
standard. However, some key components and the high speed
elevators still have to be imported from abroad. The market
competition is extremely fierce because of the market
saturation and its domestic market oriented characteristics.
Although the entry barrier is low, the small and medium size
companies have difficulty inachieving market breakthrough due
to brand loyalty of the leading brands. 3.Industry Competitive
Behavior-Facing the downward trend of the market demand, most
players adopt the price competition strategy. Other measures
such as non-price competition, reduced competition, and unfair
competition also had been and/or are used. 4.Industry
Competitive Strategy-The large leading companies tend to adopt
cost leadership strategy, differential strategy and degree of
strategy :Small companies mainly adopt the focus strategy.
Finally, it is suggested that the players of the Taiwan
elevator industry should not only pay attention on product
safety and quality, market development, research and
development, but also develop flexible and creative business
strategy to reduce the risk of focusing on single industry and
single customer base. It is also suggested that the government
should apply strict elevator inspection system and play a more
active role in guiding the industry development.
