The primary function of buildings is to provide a shelter from any danger for people and their belongings ,i.e., to protect people from adverse weather and to be safe and stable in building structure. Due to increasing complexity of social problems, cares should be given to the security planning of premises. In a community where the specialization is clearly defined, however, the "safety" of structure is still emphasized on our architectural education. Architects always ignore the imfluence of building security on the guality of architectural space. This research indicates that most campus environments clearly lack the concept of building security, not only in primary architectural design but in the management of occupancy and maintenance. Besides architcets inadequate lack in long term plans of school security. Users also don''t understand the importance of environment quality. The best selution to that kind of problem is to strengthen building security courses in architectural design program, and to improve the environmental quality of campus. This research defines the role of building security in the process of architectural design; explores the principles and structures of building security design in campus planning, exploit case studies to provide suggestions for improving the building security planning of campus.
