Inverse Heat Conduction Problem (IHCP) has gradually been used to solve some of the heat source problem which generally could not be solved by Direct Heat Conduction Problem (DHCP) in recent year. The copper will be used as a conductor in our experiment, by using thermocouple as a heat sensor, we can obtain the the measured data and use Kalman Smoothing Technique to estimate the heat flux. The thermal heat flux meter is attached to the other side of the heater for measuring heat flux simultaneously, which will be compared with the result of estimated heat flux. Using the technique above, we can also obtained the relationship of heat flux and time-wise (Q-t chart) of a gun tube combustion chamber while the primers was ignited once the temperature of a gun barrel surface was measured. As to the temperature and time-wise (T-t chart) of inside body of the gun barrel, it can also be calculated.
