The thesis began with the review of related papers and then managed to study the current status and future trend of the medical record management. Furthermore, we analyzed the character of both Total Quality Management(TQM) and medical record management to aid building a TQM model for the medical record management. To building the model, we combined the task of medical record management and the steps of continuous improvement together to make a problem-solution oriented model for the medical record department. Moreover an improved TQM circular model ,including four major items : organization system, training, medical record management and encouragement with control, was made and examined by a real case.
