澎湖爵床[Justicia ciliata(Yamamoto)Hsieh & Huang]產於澎湖，為爵床科(Acanthaceae)植物的全草。民問用於治療威冒、發熱、疼痛及癌症，也是一種毒魚劑。
將澎湖爵床全草乾燥後粉碎，用95%乙醇於60℃水浴上抽取入小時，反覆抽取三次，經過濾、減壓濃縮後得乙醇抽取物再以矽膠管柱色層分析法（分別以silica gel 70-230 mesh and230-400 mesh and Sephadex LH-20為填充物）、薄層色層分析、HPLC（高效能液相層析儀）、再結晶等過程進行分離。
結果得到五種均屬於木質酚類的化合物，經曲光譜（紅外線、質譜、核磁共振）分析，確認為ciliatin(Ⅰ)、neojusticin(Ⅱ)、taiwanin E methyl ether (Ⅲ)、justicidin B (Ⅳ)、chinensinaphthol methyl ehter (Ⅴ)，其中化合物Ｉ為首次自天然界分離得到之新化合物。

Justicia ciliata (Acnathaceae) grows in Pong Hu. The whole plant of Justicia ciliata is used as an herbal remedy for the treatment of fever, pain and cancer. It is also a fish-killing agent.
The 95% alcoholic extracts of the whole plant of Justicia ciliata were subjected to systematic separation and purification by column chromatography (Silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC), thin-layer chromatography and recrystallization. Five lignan compounds were isolated and identified by spectral analyses and/or comparison of their data (IR, MS, NMR) as ciliatin (I), neojusticin B (II), taiwanin E methyl ether (III), justicidin B (IV) and chinensinaphthol methyl ether (V).
Compound I is first isolated from nature.
