The purpose of this thesis is to design an automatic saw-making machine which has the functions of automatic multiple parts saw-making, automatic detection and automatic compensation to satisfy the customer's necessities about high quality of saw production. At present, the finished products of saw in industry, there are more different teeth shapes were designed to support the different purpose. In this automatic saw-making machine, the design method is focused on the saw that used on metal cutting. As the type of this saw, those teeth shapes are "alternating", we should follow the necessity of the teeth shapes to set up an automatic saw-making process. In order to succeed this saw's characteristics of the high sharpness, hardness and accuracy, we adopt the saw-making method of wheel grinding and use higher hardness material of CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) for wheel. At same time, in order to reach the purpose of auto-detected and compensated on line, we utilize the theorem of image processing to monitor the teeth shapes of saw and wear out status of wheel during saw-making process. Regarding of the capacity promoting of production, the process of multiple parts saw-making is necessary, naturally, the organization design of this machine is different the other one part saw making machine. If the machine will be developed successfully, the effects not only increases the production(compare with one part saw-making machine, the production could be promoted a multiple of five approximately) but could decreases the manpower and manufacture cost. At same time, to improve the saw parts qualities of saw-making accuracy, sharpness and hardness, and has programming function to produce variable saw parts to tally with the necessities of less quantities and more types.
