With the advance of computer hardware and software technology,
multimedia systems become the rising topics of computer systems
and are very popular during the 90*s. Multimedia systems are not
only applied to traditional applications, but also are applied
to a variety of infant applications, such as weather forecast,
physic diagnosis, amusement, and applications of National
Information Infrastructure(NII) like Video in Demand, Home
Shopping, Distance Learning. These applications that will be
efficient must be constructed on the systems which are able to
operate and manage data properly. Using file systems,
applications should manage data storage and data access by
themselves and need to know the detailed operations. Object
management for database systems provides a convenient tool to
manage and access data. In this research, we build a prototype
of object management and query system for multimedia database
