The project proceeds to find out the effects of homogenization treatment and additional elements on 6061aluminum alloy. The influences of mechanical properties which were observed on this alloy by means of optical micoscope(OM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and tensile test.From the results, the dispersoid which were found coarsened by raising homogenization temperature. In the first heat treatment process,which is water quench after sloution treatment, then natural aging and baking, it had no obvious effects on 6061 alloy and the additional Mn,Cr alloys by altering the homogenization temperature. In the second heat treatment process, which is step-quench after sloution treatment, then natural aging and baking, it had no obvious effects on 6061 alloy by altering the homogenization temperature, but its baking hardenability decreased then creased by creasing homogenization temperature in the additional Mn, Cr 6061 alloys. In the third heat treatment process,which is sloution treatment, water quench, natural aging, retrogression treatment, natural aging and then baking, it had no obvious effects on 6061 alloy by altering the homogenization temperature, but its baking hardenability decreased then creased in the additional Mn 6061 alloys and creased in the additional Cr 6061 alloys by creasing homogenization temperature.
