We have proposed a table-form document analysis system. The system
consists of four modules. This work is just one of the four modules. In this
lines and fields. After the connected-component generation, the original image
is proposed by the steps: (i) form/text separation to speedup
the following line
extraction, (ii) solid-line extraction, (iii) dashed-line
extraction, (iv) broken-line
connection, and (v) field extraction based on the extracted
table lines. Several
experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed
structural feature extraction for table-form documents.
