This paper presents an experimental study of both turbulent pure and buoyantdischarged vertically through a single circular submerged pipe into a stagnantnonstratified water of finite depth . In the present study , two method were carried in series for the qualitive and quatitative observations of the jet discharged into the stagnant water surface. Firstly, in order to underst and the interacting machanisms, the flow visualization based on the LIF technique was used. Secondly, detact the tracer concentration by using non-intrusive techniques.
