As the promotion of information technology and high speed
network,applications of computer are rapidly gaining increasing
popularity in people life. A database system is provided in
terms of applying data effectively. Allowing many users that
accessing the database concurrently is a main function of a
DBMS. The design of concurrency control effectsthe performance
of the DBMS very much. This study is aimed at designing and
implementing concurrency control on CTSS/PA (An object-
oriented storage manager). First, we surveys some concurrency
control algorithm. Then, according to our system environments,we
design and implement a suitable concurrency control module and
some concurrency control policies. Last, applying a modified OO7
Benchmark, we provide a performance analysis on our previously
implemented system.
