　　根據Platnick於1989之系統分類架構，並由研究期間獲得之標本及過去之文獻記錄，共記錄台灣產金蛛科蜘蛛21屬67種；其中包括Argiope 7；Gea 1；Gasteracantha 3種；Acusilas 1種；Anepsion 1種；Arachnurea 2種；Araneus 10種；Araniella 1種，為新記錄屬、種，即A.yaginumai；Cyclosa 16種；Cyrtarachne 3種；Cyrtophora 3種；Eriovixia 1種；Hypsosinga1種；Larinia 2種；Neoscona 9種；Parapectana 1種；Parawixia 1種；Pasilobus 1種；Poltys 1種；Yaginumia 1種；Zilla 1種本論文對各分類群予以詳細描述其外部特徵，並提出外生殖器之繪圖。

　　Based on taxonomic system by Platnick in 1989, and the examined specimens and the records in literature, 67species in 21genera of the family Araneidae are recognised from Taiwan .The species number of each genus are enumerated as follows: 7 species in Argiope; 1 species in Gea; 3 species in Gasteracantha; 1 species in Acusilas; 1 species in Anepsion; 2 species in Arachnura; 10 species in Araneus; 1 species in Araniella; 16 species in Cyclosa; 3 species in Cyrtarachne; 3 species in Cyrtophora; 1 species in Erivixia; 1 species in Hypsosinga; 2 species in Larinia; 9 species in Neoscona; 1 species in Paraplectana; 1 species in Parawixia; 1 sepcies in Pasilobus; 1 species in Poltys; 1 species in Yaginumia and 1species in Zilla. The thesis provides the morphological characters of each taxon in detail, including the epigynum and male palp illustrated.
