This thesis addresses design and implementation of a linear motor . The difference between the linear motor and rotary motor was analyzed , some suggestions for a linear motor was proposed.Under the linear motor design , to reduce the influence of the end effect due to the theoretical basis is what we need. In the other hand ,The motor parameters was calculated in accordence with electromagneticand experimental formulation .After the motor parameters was gotten, the design method of the rotarymotor was traced , the primary and secondary of the motor machine wasconstructed. After the linear motor machine was constructed , the motor parameters was measured , the ideal value of the motor parameters was compared tothe real value , the motor performance was estimated . Finally, to analyze the response and to perform the position controlconfirm our design.
