廠商的資源基礎觀點指出了透過具有稀少、價值、不可替代、無法仿效的資源運用,可以使企業擁有創新與持續性的競爭優勢。而經過組織整合的知識或智能正是具有此特質的資源。策略性網路是很有價值的一種機制,藉由此機制能夠獲取知識資源並加速創新的過程和新產品的研發。然而並不是擁有網路的機制架構便能夠讓廠商獲利。網路的本質是經由知識能力的評估、運用、移轉與創造加速了產品的發展。
生物技術已被公認是二十一世紀最具潛力的科技,我國政府於1982年將生物技術列為八大重點科技,1990年國家建設六年計畫更明訂其為我國八大關鍵技術之一,可見政府對於生物技術產業的發展十分重視。在這個高知識密集的產業,如何獲取新的知識資源已成了最重要的課題,這也是近年來國內產業界為何熱衷於策略聯盟的主要原因。
本研究欲評估由國外策略性文獻所探討關於知識能力、策略性網路與績效關聯在國內生物技術相關產業之適用性並提供若干研究建議。而評估之工作以國外相關文獻為基礎,採用多重測量方法進行橫剖面研究。研究主要採行郵寄式之問卷調查研究,經由相關產業專業人員的訪談,進行問卷的設計改良後發出問卷。待問卷回收後,並輔以蒐集之檔案資料,進行資料的完成與佐證。資料整理完成後進行統計分析研究。得出結果為對於高知識密集的生物技術產業,策略性網路與知識能力對於公司績效的表現具有顯著的影響,同時也印證了資源基礎理論具有適用性的價值。
