台南
一個古老的城市，記憶在其中蔓莚，以一個過客而言，城市它提供了自身的文化及資源，滿足在此停留的一個統治者，它豐厚的歷史背景，沉澱了許多的人，事，物，在其中，有些被遺忘，有些被改寫，有些則被不斷地流傳，故事不斷地製造。生活週遭充滿小故事，藉由環境的暗示呈現。
瞭解台南，它的街道、樓房、人、風景、陽光、瓦礫，甚至是路旁的一塊小石頭、一個煙蒂、一張破椅子，都不停的告訴我們台南的一切。我們的觀察與感受，就是不同的台南，不同的地方。
一個古老的城市，一切根源追溯的地方，充滿秘密，充滿好奇，在人們未知的時空中，引發點點滴滴的現象，造就成更多的驚奇，更多時空的讚歎，8個在台南所觀察的現象，透出個不同的訊息；
記憶、痕跡 ； 出現、消失 ； 光、影 ； 部份、整體
8 個訊息隱藏在城市的每個角落，每一種訊息的出現，即形成了8 種的概念。
都市
一個巨大，有效的體制。它可以生存、繁殖、演化、擴張、移動。它是多元多向的，一種存有龐大能量的聚合體，生命依附它、也推動它。它包涵著各種的生活條件和生存原則，它就像是一隻變形蟲，沒有固定的形式，因大環境的變奏，而產生唯一的形式，而這種形態是有趨勢的、有中心性的，會吞噬其鄰近的地區，以強化自己。
一個台南（都市）的創作
概念提供了線索，環境提供了素材；兩者啟發了創作的意圖。而從創作之中，又有新的想法或概念被激發，一個循環或是一種新陳代謝。創作的想法是完整的，而作品則是不斷的附加，不斷的成長，意義不斷的延伸、膨脹，故它是暫時的、不完整的。
都市則提供一種原則，基本的條件，使創作能得以收斂；同時也包容了概念的存在和作用。
作品的出現，為想像的呈現。想像的空間隱藏於作品之內，同時也洋溢於外；在創作之前，也潛伏於創作之後。它會隨著經驗的累積，時間的變化，心情的起落，而或曲折，或廣闊，一種自我經驗的呈現。

Abstract
In an old city, memories spread through every corner. City is the centre of cultures and resources. Man, things and stories precipitate into history. We forget some, rewrite some, spread some, and make up some. There are stories in our daily life and they are implied by the surroundings.
To understand Tainan, we should look at its street, building, people, scenery, sun, rubble, stone, stub and even a chair. All of them can tell us things in Tainan. What we observe and feel are different places in Tainan.
An ancient city is the root of findings. It is full of secrets and curiosities. We exist in the space and time and cause phenomenon to happen. It brings surprise as well as praise. Eight phenomenon is observed in Tainan. They give us different messages as follows:
Memory╱ Track
Appearance╱ Disappearance
Light╱ Shadow
Part╱ Entirety
These Messages are hidden in the city. Each message leads to eight ideas.
City
A huge, effective system which can survive, proliferate, evolve, expand, tranfer. It also is a multi-functional polymer of great energy with the dependence and propulsion of lives.
It contains different conditions and principles of existance. It looks like an amoeba without a regular form and its deformation will be caused by prevailing tendency. And such form is a centre or a tendency which will consolidate by annexation.
An Original Work of Tainan (City)
Clues from concepts, materials from enviroment, which two have enlightened the intentions of creation. Within a circulation and metabolism of creation, the new ideas have been instructed. The idea is complete, however, the works presented can be improved, grow and become more meaningful. Therefore, works are incomplete and temporary.
City provides rules, basic principles to restrain the creative works and concluse the concepts and works. When the original works show up, it is the appearance of imagination. Imagination stay at the inner and the outer of the space between works and ideas. It is also accumulated and changed by time, self-experience, our mentality and sense, to stimulate and enrich ideas and original works.
