本研究以台灣製造業廠商為實證對象,探討影響其海外直接投資所有權結構之主要因素,以及在亞洲金融風暴發生之後其所有權結構是否有結構性變革存在。根據文獻回顧,將可能影響所有權結構的變數分為為內部因素與外部因素,其中內部因素包括廠商規模、國際化程度及研發密集度,外部因素包括文化相似程度、海外市場穩定程度及追隨顧客。本研究以問卷調查的方式進行資料蒐集,並以Tobit Model來進行資料的實證分析。實證研究結果發現:1.海外直接投資經驗以及追隨顧客對於廠商選擇高持股比例的所有權結構具有正面之影響;2.海外市場穩定程度則呈現負面之影響。3.在亞洲金融風暴發生之後,廠商的持股比例與風暴之前並沒有結構性的變革存在,但是在金融風暴發生之後海外直接投資經驗以及追隨顧客等因素對於廠商的所有權策略的選擇具有顯著性的影響。
The purpose of this study is to find out the critical factors affecting decisions of ownership structure of FDI, and whether there is structure change around the Asian Financial Crisis. According to other literatures, this study concludes two categories of factors that influence the selection of ownership structure. They are internal factors (including firm size, international experience and R&D intensity) and external factors (including cultural familiarity, political stability and following the client). The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.The factors that make significant and positive influence on selection of highly ownership structure are FDI experience and following the client. 2.The factor that make significant and negative influence on selection of highly ownership structure is political stability. 3.Ownership structure has no structure change after the Asian Financial Crisis. But FDI experience and following the client are significant and positive in influencing ownership structure around the Asian Financial Crisis.
