利用構造物之實際破壞行為為基礎之極限設計理論比用材料之彈性破壞為基礎之彈性設計理論更能準確地評估構件在塑性區之延展性。因此,本研究以24根鋼筋混凝土梁進行抗彎試驗,來探討鋼筋混凝土保護層剝離長度及裂縫寬度與梁之塑性迴轉角間之關係。利用此次實驗所量得之裂縫寬度、裂縫深度及鋼筋混凝土保護層剝離長度轉換成之裂縫與剝離旋轉角進行比較,進而提議裂縫與剝離塑性迴轉角之實驗迴歸計算式以供參考。並與Mattock(1967)及Corley(1966)所提之塑性迴轉角比較,其結果顯示在 ACI 318 耐震設計規定之設計範圍內有相近之趨勢。

The limit design theory considered the failure behavior of structures is more accurate in estimating the ductility of the plastic region than the elastic design theory considered elastic failure of material. Twenty-four concrete beams were tested in this research, observing and studying the relationship between the thickness of the concrete cover and the width of the crack and rotational capacity of reinforced concrete beams. By measuring the width and depth of the crack and the thickness of the concrete cover during the experiments, the deformation were used to compute the rotation of the beam and analyzed, and supplied the reference equation of the plastic rotation of the beam to use. It appeared that the plastic rotation of the beam from the result of experiment has the similar tendency with both the theory of Mattock (1967) and Corley (1966) during the region of the Provision for Seismic Design in ACI 318.
