醋酸為工業中常用的藥品,但醋酸易與水產生似共沸的現象而不易分離。目前製程中有以乙酸異丙酯為挾帶劑(entrainer)來分離醋酸與水,但蒸餾分離系統卻容易有不穩定的情形。故本研究即針對以乙酸異丙酯為醋酸與水的分離挾帶劑的系統來討論其相行為。
本研究討論醋酸-水-乙酸異丙酯的相行為包括汽-液相平衡及液-液平衡。本研究進行液-液相平衡數據量測及利用改良 Othmer vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE)裝置進行汽-液平衡數據的量測,並以Marek與Standart的方法及Hayden-O’Connell的方法考慮醋酸的分子結合效應,並以NRTL、UNIQUAC液相模式對汽-液平衡實驗數據關聯。
結果發現所有的關聯方法均得到相當不錯的結果。
It is observed that operation at a stable steady state is not easy in a distillation column of purifing acetic acid from water using isopropyl acetate as an entrainer. In order to find out the reason of such phenomenon, the phase behavior, the vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) and liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE), of isopropyl-water-acetic acid mixture was studied experimentally.
The VLE data of acetic acid-water and acetic acid-isopropyl acetate and VLE and LLE data of acetic acid-water-isopropyl acetate were measured with different equilibrium cells at 760 mmHg with a pressure controlled system.
The experimental data were correlated with the NRTL and the UNIQUAC models. The association effect of acetic acid in vapor phase was considered by the Marek and Standart’s semi-chemical theory and the Hayden-O’Connell’s method. The correlation results show that the the NRTL model associated with Hayden-O’Connell’s consideration has better agreement than that of the Marek and Standart’s semi-chemical theory.
