To enhance the competitive advantage of Taiwanese companies in global market and search consuming market and decrease production cost, Taiwanese companies tend to invest in Mainland China. The rapidly increase importance of overseas operations can place the success or failure of multinational corporation in the hands of their expatriate workers. In the other hand, international assignment would impact on expatriates'' life a lot. Thus, this subject of this research is to examine the effect of organizational support on expatriate''s work/ family conflict. In order to realize the reason about why work/ family would happen, this research choose the expatriate couples as sample. An empirical analysis was implemented and tried to find out the difference in the expatriate couples. This research also try to examine the impact of organizational support system, demographic characteristics and the characteristics of the expatriate on work/family conflict. The results of this research indicate that: 1. These expatriates living with their spouse or children perceived lower work/ family conflict than others. Besides, work/family conflict would be perceived higher by expatriate with career-orientation spouse. 2. The effects of relationship between work-adjusted support, family support and work/family conflict are moderated by demographic variables. 3. The effects of relationship between work adjusted support, logistic and social support , family support and work/family conflict are also moderated by the characteristics of expatriate. 4. Logistic and social support would release the spouse from work/family conflict. To sum up, expatriate and spouse perceptions of organizational support for expatriate would decrease work/family conflict efficiently. In addition, work/family conflict is perceived by expatriate and spouse differently. The results indicated that organization must pay more attention to the expatriate''s spouse. This research suggest organization should place emphasize on practices that foster positive practices of organizational support or place the organizational support activities flexibly. It could be benefit to decrease the perception of work/family conflict.
