In this thesis, a nonlinear indirect adaptive sensorless speed/position tracking controller for
induction motors is proposed. In the controller, only the stator currents are assumed to be
measurable. The rotor flux, position and speed observer are designed to relax the need of flux
and position measurement. Besides, the rotor resistance estimators are also designed to cope with
the drifting problem. Rigorous stability analysis based on Lyapunov theory is also performed
to guarantee that the controller designed here is stable. Also, the computer simulations and
experiments are done to demonstrate the performance of our design.
