本研究目的在探討認知型態及內外向性格對多向度刺激辨識的績效影響。共進行兩個實驗,皆採二因子獨立樣本完全受試者間平衡設計,以藏圖測驗區分不同認知型態受試者;以艾森克人格測驗內外向量表區分內外向性格受試者,進行多向度刺激辨識作業,紀錄多向度刺激辨識作業中各向度反應時間及正確率為績效指標。
實驗結果顯示認知型態會影響多向度刺激辨識作業績效,場地獨立者在多向度刺激辨識作業中各向度的反應時間皆顯著短於場地依賴者,在正確率上則沒有顯著差異。內外向性格在多向度刺激辨識作業中各向度的正確率與餘備指示有交互作用,其中內向組受試者中屬於未告知組的報告正確率高於告知組;而在告知組的受試者中,內外向性格的報告正確率有顯著差異。在反應時間上則沒有表現出顯著差異。
最後本研究根據實驗結果提出在應用上的建議,並討論在多向度刺激辨識作業中造成認知型態及內外向性格績效差異的可能因素。

Two experiments investigated the effects of cognitive style and introversion-extraversion on multidimensional stimulus identification. In Exp1, field-independent Ss and field-dependent Ss were selected by the Hidden Figures Test to perform a task of multidimensional stimulus identification under different instructions of redundent. In Exp2, Ss were categorized as introverts or extraverts by The Eysenck Personality Inventory and completed the same task of Exp1.
Analyses indicate that the field-independent Ss have faster reaction time. But there is no significant differentiation in accuracy. The interaction of extraversion and redundent instructions in accuracy was observed.
Implications of the result and factors cause the effects of cognitive style and introversion-extraversion on multidimensional stimulus identification were discussed.
