在行動位置知覺資料系統中,系統給予使用者的結果會隨著使用者提出查詢的位置而改變。為了達到行動的目的,當使用者的位置變化時,查詢的結果必須被更新,以符合目前的位置關聯。
在無線環境中資料傳輸的頻寬較低,所以使用者的資料擷取延遲較大。較長的擷取延遲,會造成當使用者得到結果時,已不符合他所在的位置。
本論文中針對行動位置關聯的需求與減少資料擷取延遲而提出了行動位置知覺查詢與位置分割資料預取法。行動位置知覺查詢讓使用者可以在位置透明與位置知覺的要求下,查詢有關於位置的資訊。位置分割資料預取法,可讓使用者預先抓取將來所須要的資料,以減少資訊的擷取延遲。
位置分割資料預取法透過過去使用者的移動路徑來分割出使用者經常存在的位置分割,並預取在位置分割中的資料以減少資料擷取延遲。
For a mobile location-aware information system, it will adapt its answers to diverse location-dependent queries according to the location at which the client issues those queries.To support the mobility transparency, the information system also has to dynamically refresh its results and then keep them correct for the corresponded client''s location.
At present, we know that the wireless communication bandwidth is lower than the fixed network bandwidth, therefore, the data retrieval latency clients perceived from the wireless network will be longer than one perceived from fixed network. As a result, the mobile client may have a chance to receive an incorrect result, if its moving speed is faster than the speed of sending response came from the system.
The purpose of this thesis is propose the mobile location-aware SQL (MALSQL) and the partition-based data prefetching (PDP) mechanism for the system to support mobility transparency and lower latency. Consequently, the clients can issue a MALSQL with location awareness to obtain location-dependent data, and the system can stimulate the PDP with mobility transparency to prefetch data to reduce the latency before the clients will submit queries to the server.
In the client agent, the principle method for PDP to prefetch is to use the profile of client''s movement paths, and then parse it to organize all possible partitions in which hot cells are with higher visited times. After that, the system can prefetch data from the specified range of the partition the client residues to effectively reduce the data retrieval latency.
