Daylighting is composed of direct and diffuse daylight . The studies of diffuse have been sustained a long time in Taiwan , but the research on the direct sunlight is seldom in the state of art . Therefore the research is to find the good combinations of vertical shading devises by the Scale Model experiments outdoor . And as a result to provide the designer and user’s reference on the energy conservation of buildings design . This study includes the following content: Chapter 1 To point out the research motive , subject , method and procedure . Chapter 2 To organize and sort out the nationwide research fendency and specific Achievements from related articles collection in order to establish the Research orienttation and scope . Chapter 3 To describe the developing background of Shading Physcial Scaling Model and the method of setting environmental factor of model test . Also to explain the connections between each model factors in the daylighting test of the research . Chapter 4 The date of scale model tests under designed combinations have been analyzed . The regression models are being built for predicting situation. Chapter 5 The impact of influence for different daylighting and shading coefficient factors has been analyzed . The priority of influence among those factors is being made . To assist designers to meet their daylighting and shading requirements . Chapter 6 To provide a resonable shading design procedure and the applied and the research scope of achievement on the research . And to suggest a specific stucture for fuither study . As a conclusion from the research , in the scope to apply the vertical shading devices in small solar altitude and azimuth can’t achieve the shading efficience . The results can be expected to assist designers in their energy conservation of architecture design .
