摘 要本研究旨在瞭解國小教師與家長對家長參與學校事務的看法，比較彼此看法的差異，並進一步瞭解阻礙家長參與學校事務的因素與改進方案，最後探討教師與家長對家長參與的看法與其背景因素之間的關係。研究採問卷調查法，以研究者自編的「家長參與學校教育調查問卷」為研究工具。樣本包括台北市41所公立國小428位教師與416位家長。結果顯示：教師與家長均對家長參與持正向態度，但家長的態度較為積極，雙方在參與類型、層級、途徑、家長參與校務會議和甄選教師部份看法分歧。而「家長過於忙碌，沒有時間參與」、「教師與家長對家長參與的理念不同」、「家長參與學校事務的能力與技巧不足」是阻礙家長參與主要的因素。「提供家長參與學校事務的方法與指導」、「協調家長與教師間的教育理念」則是促進家長參與最有效的方式。另外，本研究也發現：教育背景較高與參加教師組織的教師，對家長參與持較樂觀的態度；男性與參加家長組織的家長，則對家長參與較積極。 根據研究結論，本研究分別對教育行政機關與學校行政人員、教師、家長、未來的研究提出多項建議。

A Study of Parent Participation in Schooling and the Related Variables in Elementary Schools in Taipei cityAbstractThe main purpose of this study was to examine the opinions of teachers and parents on parents participation in schooling. This study employed the survey method. The subjects included 428 teachers and 416 parents randomly selected from 41 elementary schools in Taipei city.The major findings are as follows :1. Teachers and parents demonstrated positive attitude toward parent participation in schooling, with parents higher than teachers.2. Teachers and parents differed in opinion on participation type, hierarchy, approach, parent participation in school*s council and selecting teacher. 3. "are too busy"," and parents disputes over participation between"and "incapability of participation in schooling"were three main factors handicapping parent participation in schooling. 4. Teachers those who with higher education level and are members of teacher*s organization exhibited positive attitude on parent participation in schooling. 5. Male parents and who joined parent*s organization have higher positive attitude on parent participation in schooling. Based on the study, the author presents feasible recommendations for the educational administration, agencies ,elementary school administrators, teachers and parents, as well as suggestions for further study.
