山竺( Garcinia mangostana Linn. )為金絲桃科( Guttiferae )植物,其果殼被用於治療皮膚、傷口發炎及下痢。
將山竺果殼剪碎後,以95%乙醇浸泡,經過濾、減壓濃縮後得到乙醇抽出物,再以氯仿及水萃取。將氯仿抽出物濃縮後以矽膠管柱色層分析、薄層色層分析等過程進行分離純化,結果得到14個化合物,經光譜資料之分析,鑑定其結構均屬於Xanthone類的化合物,分別為 α-mangostin (1),5,9-dihydroxy-8-methoxy-2,2-dimethyl-7-(3-methyl- 2-butenyl)-2H,6H-pyrano-[3,2-b]xanthen-3-one (2),tovophyllin A (3),1-isomangostin (4),8-deoxygartanin,gartanin,1,5-dihydroxy-2-isoprenyl-
3-methoxyxanthone,β-mangostin, garcinone E, 3-isomangostin,γ-mangostin,garcinone B,mangostanol,garcinone D。水層抽出物濃縮,亦以類似之色層分析法進行分離純化,結果得到 6個化合物,經光譜資料分析後,確定各化合物之構造分別為(-)-epicatechin (5),procyanidin B-5 (6),procyanidin B-2 (7),epicatechin-(4-8’, 2β→O-7)-epicatechin (8),epicatechin-(4-8’, 2β→O-7)-catechin (9),taxifolin-3-O-β-D-rhamnoside (10)。
The fruit hulls of Garcinia mangostana Linn. (Guttiferae) are traditionally used as antiinflammatory and antidiarrhea.
The fruit hulls of Garcinia mangostana were concentrated extracted with 95% EtOH. After evaporation of the solvent, the concentrated EtOH extract was partitioned between H2O and CHCl3 . By means of various column chromatographic separation, fourteen compounds were isolated from the CHCl3 fraction. By spectral methods, all of these compounds were identified as xanthones including ofα-mangostin (1), 5,9-dihydroxy-8-methoxy-2,2-dimethyl-7-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-2H,6H- pyrano-[3,2-b]xanthen-3-one (2), tovophyllin A (3), 1-isomangostin (4), 8-deoxygartanin, gartanin, 1,5-dihydroxy-2-isoprenyl-3-methoxyxanthone, β-mangostin, garcinone E, 3-isomangostin,γ-mangostin, garcinone B, mangostanol, garcinone D. In addition, six compounds were obtained from the H2O fraction after further purification. Based on spectroscopic analysis, the structures of these six compounds were determined as (-)-epicatechin (5), procyanidin B-5 (6), procyanidin B-2 (7), epicatechin- (4-8’, 2β→O-7)-epicatechin (8), epicatechin-(4-8’, 2β→O-7)-catechin (9) and taxifolin-3-O-β-D-rhamnoside (10).
