The main purpose of this paper is to apply fuzzy set theory to the leasing credit granting management. A new leasing credit granting model is proposed to improve the quality of leasing credit granting decision making under fuzzy environment. A fuzzy break-even analysis based on the cost-volume-profit analysis by using the concepts of triangular fuzzy numbers and linguistic variables is discussed. The fuzzy break-even analysis combines with Markovian dynamic programming to determine the quality of leasing credit granting. An algorithm of the proposed model is developed to see if there is any improvement in credit quality of lessee after leasing by a decision rule defined in this paper. The summary of findings are following: 1.We compare the client’s industry, capital size, operating items and the criteria to evaluate the client’s credit of the traditional leasing corporate with the newly leasing corporate. And we try to analyze the difference between them. 2.We calculate the average fuzzy break-even-interval of the electronic, metal manufacturing and other industries in the traditional and newly leasing corporate. Then we can find that the average fuzzy break-even-interval of three kinds industries in the traditional leasing corporate are all larger than the newly leasing corporate’s. 3.We adopt this leasing credit evaluation model to determine if the client’s quality of leasing credit granting is improved or not before and after leasing. If the client’s quality of leasing credit granting is good, we can lease to him; otherwise we refuse the lease.
