在無線整合環境中,多重擷取層規約的服務品質保證是許多研究的重心。
本論文首先針對VBR服務在不同的頻寬配置方式下,延遲變異的變化,進行討論,並對一個通用的框架結構下,VBR連結的封包服務品質,進行排隊模型的近似與推導。
此外,在行動通訊環境中,用戶的移動衍生出的交遞(handoff)行為,在多重擷取層的效能分析研究中並不常見。在此,本論文利用一個簡單的馬可夫鏈,代表用戶的移動狀態,並依此建構出雙態的伺服器模型。
首先從最基本的硬性交遞(hard handoff)模型開始,以一個整批服務的排隊系統,計算出VBR封包延遲的平均值和變異數。接著延伸至軟性交遞(soft handoff)的環境之中,以類似的數學流程,計算出封包的服務品質,同時也對交遞失敗的假設,進行數學的估算。以一個三態的伺服器加入考慮用戶交遞失敗的狀態,計算出相關的性能參數。
最後,在假設基地台可以參照連結佇列大小,進而動態配置頻寬的環境下,同樣利用雙態伺服器代表用戶的移動情形,計算出封包的平均延遲和封包延遲變異。
