以往的文獻研究在面對利益團體競租對抗賽局時， 通常只考慮了各個利益團體所付出的遊說努力對於競租結果的影響。事實上，選票的考量亦是影響利益團體競租對抗行為之結果的重要因素之一。 本文在Tullock （1980）的基礎上，於贏得競租對抗的機率設定中， 加入了利益團體規模大小做為代表著其所屬選票多寡的考量。 我們發現，在此修正過的設定之下，利益團體規模大小確實對競租對抗之結果有著極大的影響，其並與利益團體所付出的遊說努力大小彼此間有著抵換的關係存在。 而此結論亦不受賽局結構改變的影響。
此外， 利益團體內部之競租報償分配機制的選擇也是有著交相影響的。 若無其他因素的考量，
，只要競租報償夠大，利益團體皆會採行論功行賞式的機制作為其團體內部分配競租報償的準據。 最後，我們亦發現，利益團體規模大小作為其選票多寡的此項競租對抗的考慮因素之影響力， 是受到其所屬的政治文化及制度等外在因素所制約。
