The purpose of this study aims at discussing the effect of the changes of the social environment and the transformation of the essence in religions belief carried out on the space of the Church. by doing field research in the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan in Taipei County.The contents of the research includse the Church’s set up time, its set up reasons, the style of the space of the Church, the characteristics of its architecture, the development of the space of the Church, the characteristics of space of worship service, education and so on. Then we will analyze the forms of the space in Presbyterian Church in Taiwan in Taipei County, the presentation of the influence of urbanization to church space, and the transformation of worship space in general.
This article is divided into five chapters,and each goes as follows：
Ch. 1：Explainations and descriptions on the motif of the study, its method, relative articles, paraphrases of certain definition on christian religions terms.
Ch. 2：To confer on the history of the Church, the relationship between the religions belief and space of worship service the origin of the power of stylistic transfromation, then look back to the past history of the space for worship service of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan and the essrnce of christian belief.
Ch. 3：To confer the effect of the urbanization on the church space in the perspectives of seeing the reason to make church grow, its development and expansion, their styles, the current situation of external environment, and try to realize the limits and influences of the environment.
Ch. 4：To discnss the styles of the internal space and characteristics of the Church,by conferring the history of each Church’s deveiopment on space, their orders, axes and other characteristics, then end up with the conclusion of the transfromation in the essence of religions belief.
Ch. 5：Conclusions, suggestions, and bringing up the direction of the possible future research.
