本研究之主要目的係依據無線通訊應用協定(WAP: Wireless Application Protocol)設計與實作一套行動校園資訊服務系統,讓本校師生及員工們能夠不受時、地的限制取得校內外最新的即時資訊,以落實行動上網時代的服務需求。本系統的服務內容涵括校內及校外兩大部份:校內資訊部份主要提供成績、個人功課表、全校課程表、同學通訊錄、缺曠課記錄、獎學金資訊、以及各類生活資訊等之查詢。校外部份則提供光華商圈電腦通訊等相關產品的最新資訊。除外,本系統也提供雙向的猜謎等益智遊戲以及熱門WAP網站的超連結。本系統已上線測試成功,並將提供上述服務。雖然服務內容有待持續擴充,但本系統的完成已為「無遠弗屆」的行動校園邁出了最重要的第一步。
This thesis aims to design and implement a mobile campus information service system for National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) based on the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). By means of this system, the faculty members and students of the school can acquire the latest real time information by WAP phones no matter where they are or when it is to fulfill the basic service requirements of the coming mobile networking era.
This service system can be categorized into two parts, namely inner school and outer school. The inner school services contain the functions of inquiries of grade, personal daily classes, school’s class tables, telephone and address books of schoolmates, scholarship application results, absence record, useful life information, and so forth. On the other hand, the outer school service offers the computer communication business information of Kwang-Hwa Commercial Circle. In addition, this system also provides interactive puzzle for entertainment and links to most useful WAP sites. This system has been successfully implemented and is ready to provide the above-mentioned services. Though only limited services are provided at present, this study has stepped the most important starting point for a complete and perfect Mobile Campus Information Service System.
