本研究旨在運用同儕輔助學習之理念，結合網路學習之特性及功能，探討大學生網路同儕輔助學習之理念，並實際發展和建置一個可以讓同儕間相互指導、支持、分享與合作的網路同儕輔助學習環境。
本研究採用文獻分析法、調查法及系統開發法作為主要之研究方法，並以「雛形法」（Prototyping）的開發理念整合「資訊系統開發法」與「教學系統設計」（Instructional System Design, ISD）之概念，經過分析、設計、發展、施測及評鑑五個階段，完成本系統之建構與開發。並綜整研究結果與經驗提出：（1）「網路同儕輔助學習環境」之系統內涵與環境架構；（2）「網路同儕輔助學習環境」之設計方法與建構模式。
經由施測與評鑑結果發現：（1）本網路同儕輔助學習環境的理念與作法獲得使用者與專家的肯定；（2）網路同儕輔助學習環境的系統內涵及功能架構大致完整，但仍需再整合；（3）記錄與管理功能自動化有利於學生與教師檢視學習表現與系統順暢運作；（4）網路同儕輔助學習環境的設計理念應強調同儕在學習互動上的影響力；（5）運用「雛形法」開發理念並整合「資訊系統開發」與「教學系統設計」之設計方法適合設計建置「網路同儕輔助學習環境」等。
另外，本研究依據研究結果，分別對系統設計及開發人員、系統改進以及對於後續研究等方面提出相關建議，以作為系統後續發展與研究之參考。

The major purpose of this study is to design and establish a web-based peer assisted learning system (WBPALS) for collage students. The departure point of the system is the concept of peer assisted learning and the characteristics of web-based learning.
The research methods included: literature analysis, survey, and system development. Applying the theory of “Prototyping”, “Information System Development” and “Instructional System Design”, through the five phases: analysis, design, development, pretest and evaluation, the system was constructed. Furthermore, in terms of research. results and experiences, this study tried to offer: (1) the ideal environmental framework of WBPALS; (2) the design method and construction model of WBPALS.
Findings of the study are summarized as follows:
(1)Students and experts are approve of the concept and system of WBPALS.
(2)The structure and function of WBPALS are sufficient but not totally complete.
(3)The functions of auto-memorize and auto-management are benefit students and teacher to survey users learning process and crucial for WBPALS’s good working.
(4)Design and construction a WBPALS should be emphasized the effect of peer interaction.
(5)WBPALS needs to integrate ISD and Prototyping to design and develop itself.
Finally, based on the results of the study, suggestions made for the development and research of the system, system designers and system developers, system improvement, system implementation and future study.
