複合材料由於具有強度高、重量輕、耐腐蝕及壽命長等優越性能,已廣泛應用於航太、軍事、運動器材及運輸工具等領域。過去大部份複合材料均以熱固性複合材料為主,但近年來由於生活環境品質急速惡化,導致全球環保意識高漲,因此可回收重複使用之熱塑性複合材料逐漸受到重視而蓬勃發展。
板狀熱塑性複合材料加工法中,應用最廣的即為衝壓成型法,將加熱至熔點之試片,迅速移至模具中,合模後提供適當之壓力控制,脫模取得成品。傳統加熱方式為對整片試片進行加熱,此種加熱方式易導致試片移動的困難,對於加工簡單外形的成品而言,也易造成能源的浪費。有鑑於此,本研究針對一板狀熱塑性複合材料,僅將欲彎曲部份進行局部加熱,將之熱壓成V字型。期許能提出一最佳製程參數,以克服上述缺點,建立相關數據資料,讓熱塑性複合材料熱壓成型加工週期更短、更方便製作及節約能源。

Composites have superior performance on high strength, low weight, anticorrosion and long service life, etc. The application of composites in aerospace, military, sports, transportation and the other fields is widely. It is the thermosetting composites that were mostly used, but now the thermoplastic composites are popular because of environment pollution problems.
Stamp forming has been used extensively as the process method of thermoplastic composites. In this process the consolidated flat laminate is heated in an external heater above the melting temperature of the thermoplastic matrix, and then the hot laminate is quickly transferred into the cold mold where it is stamped to conform to the mold geometry. During stamping, the laminate is cooled down under pressure by the cold mold to a temperature below the melting point of the polymer matrix. The traditional methods are to heat a full laminate before the stamping process. It is difficult to deliver the hot laminate to the mold, and the energy will be wasted during these processes. For this reason, a local forming process will be proposed for a thermoplastic composite laminate in this study. The local forming means that only limited range of laminate around the deformation area is heated during the heating process.
The final goal of this research is to find optimum forming parameters to speed the forming process and to construct the easy and saving-energy forming methods of thermoplastic composites.
