通訊應用於控制技術上已發展多年,但是通訊技術上的受限,導致設備於控制的範疇上也受到限制。因此為了延展通訊的傳輸範圍,必須設置昂貴的通訊設備,以解決訊號傳輸距離不足的問題。在過去幾年來電腦網路的發展已日趨成熟,且近來電腦網路的應用多集中在監控系統上。然而,大部份設置於監控系統中的設備仍然使用傳統的通訊界面,若要使這些設備擁有現代電腦網路的優點而全面提升通訊界面的模組幾乎不可能,因此需要一個界面裝置在傳統設備和電腦網路上做連結。
本論文應用TINI來作為連結傳統設備和電腦網路之界面。TINI主要用來轉換在RS-232或RS-485上所使用的MODBUS協定,成為可以在電腦網路TCP/IP上所用,藉由執行這樣的轉換,擁有MODBUS協定的裝置即可經網際網路來做存取。為實現此觀點,在本論文中模擬二次變電所的架構並討論之。變電所中的裝置如匯流排、變壓器與饋線上之斷路器的狀態、實功率、虛功率和饋線電壓等利用硬體裝置來模擬。模擬的訊息資料利用工業協定MODBUS/TCP傳回控制中心。而這些訊息可以顯示在人機界面上且相關的資料也儲存於資料庫管理系統以做更進一步的分析。
Application of communication for control purpose has been developed for years. However, due to the limitation of the communication technology, the equipment under control is limited. Expensive communication equipment has to be installed in order to extend the communication distance. The development of computer network has become more mature in the past years. Application of computer network for monitoring and control purposes gets a lot of attention recently. However, a large amount of equipment that is installed in the field is still using the traditional communication channel. It is almost impossible to upgrade the communication module of the equipment in order to take advantages of the modern computer network. A bridge device is thus needed in order to link the traditional equipment to the computer network.
In this thesis, application of Tiny InterNet Interface (TINI) to perform the bridge function between the traditional equipment and modern computer network is proposed. The TINI is used to convert the MODBUS protocol that runs on RS-232 or RS-485 to a protocol runs on modern computer network using TCP/IP. By performing such a conversion, the MODBUS devices can be accessed through the Internet.
In order to realize the concept, a simulated secondary substation is constructed and is discussed in this thesis. The status of PCBs, real power, reactive power and voltage on feeders, bus bars and transformers are simulated using hardware devices. The simulated information is transmitted to the simulated control center through the computer network using an industrial protocol, MODBUS/TCP. This information is shown on the Human Machine Interface (HMI) console. The data is also stored in a database management system (DBMS) for further analysis.
