社會教育工作站的成立，是由一群志同道合、不求酬勞利用閒餘時間的人，集結組織而成。目的是在運用地區社會資源，結合社會力量，推動社會教育活動項目，加強社會教育功能，樹立良好社會風氣，提昇民眾的生活素質。本研究的旨意是在探討，如何讓這一股熱忱，匯集成力量，使組織更堅強，功能發揮更符合時代潮流的社會需求，以及能永續經營，綿綿不斷。透過相關文獻的研讀、資料的彙整與分析以提供給實務工作者的發展策略，也讓政府機構瞭解地方基層組織的辛勞與奉獻，並做為施政時釐訂政策的參考。
本研究的策略係採用蒐集相關文獻，加以研讀分析，運用訪談、設計問卷及國立彰化社教館所屬三十四個社會教育工作站與五個社委會聯絡處，所做的經營形態分析做深度的觀察。本研究獲得以下的結論：
一、在各地區成立社會教育工作站，對該地區的社教活動的推動助益匪淺。
二、社會教育工作站的組織成員涵蓋了社區的各個階層與行業，可謂不分黨派、族群融合。
三、社會教育工作站的經營，對地區的住民生活素質有相當顯著的改善。
四、由於族群融合，塑造出地區不同的文化生態延續了先人的生活特色。
五、激發地區民眾的愛鄉情操，提升民眾積極參與公共事務的熱忱。
六、創新管理策略運用，發展潛能，使社區營造重新出發。
七、培養地區領導人才，開發人力資源提升民主素養。
八、運用少數經費，結合地方資源，積極辦理社教活動，使社教館的功能延伸至窮鄉僻壤。

ABSTRACT
The workstation of social education is an organization, which is built up by a group of volunteers with similar social ideal. They work our society during their free time.
The purposes of the organization are: (1) utilizing the locally social resources in the area, (2) uniting a variety of social powers, (3) holding more social activities, (4) enhancing the function of social education, (5) setting up a good social atmosphere, and (6) improving the living standards of the people. This research aims to search for how to change their enthusiasm into powers, which not only make this organization efficient, but also develop its function to fit the needs of this society more properly and therefore run year by year. By studying relevant materials, collecting and analyzing data, I provide some development tactics to those who practically word in that area. This can also remind government of the hard work and sacrifices of these foot organizations. In addition, it might play a consultative role while the government forms the related policies.
To reach the aim, I collect relevant materials and then study and analyze them. Moreover, I adopt the approaches of interview, designing the questionnaires and investigating the running types of thirty-four social education workstations and five liaison offices subordinate to the Hall of Chung-Hwa Social Education. The conclusions of this research are as follows:
1.The establishment of the workstations of social education in an area is very helpful in promoting the social activities in that area.
2.The members of a workstation of social education cover various positions.
3.To management of the workstations of social education can dramatically improve the living standards of people living in that area.
4.Due to the mixture of all the clans in the organization, different types of local culture are formed. Consequently, they can extend the living characteristics of their ancestors.
5.Arousing local people’s hometown-loving sentiment and promoting their enthusiasm to participate in the public affairs actively.
6.Bringing forth new tactics of management, developing potentiality, and leading the community to a new direction.
7.Training local leaders and developing manpower resources to promote the mastery of democracy.
8.Uniting the resources in the area, holding social activities actively, and making the function of the halls of social education expanded to the backward places by utilizing a small amount of money.
