This study used Porter’s diamond model to analyze man-made industry’s national competitiveness of Taiwan, China, Japan, and Korea under World Trade Organization structure on the productive conditions, demand conditions, related and supported industries, firm strategy, government, and opportunity. The result showed that high forward linkage of Taiwan’s man-made industry had national competitiveness on the productive conditions, demand conditions, supported industries…etc. with the opportunity of steady growth in man-made fiber’s demand and the spirit of free trade. The trend of foreign investment can’t be avoided, and how to operate the globalization strategy to improve industry’s competitiveness, carry out the differentation and e-business, and integrate the textile industry to lower the cost and date was a niche for Taiwan’s man-made fiber industry.
